Halo Fan Design
Halo looks lovely. I don't really play it, but it looks lovely. Here's a design after seeing Sam Brown's amazing work.

Bio-Eng.
Here's a bio-engineered robot thing. Maya, Zbrush and Keyshot used at a basic level and Photoshop to cover my mistakes!
Mid way through this I started to think of Evolva. What an underrated game! I left the arms as spikes in tribute.
Got impatient at the feet and just wanted some fast results! Shit, forgot to duplicate some arm attachment points... don't mention it... no one will notice.

Neutrino Deadline
Here's a nice lady with some neutrino nunchaku. Or a "neutrino deadline" as it is know due to its inevitability of killing the user. (Trevor Claxton inspired style)
Self critique: I like the body and the general overall vibe, but I ran out of design a bit on the hands and legs. The white material came out of a plastic wrap filter on Photoshop, so not entirely from my material rendering skills. Going to park the drawing, and maybe save it for a later date.

Jimmy "The Fists" McKanik
I took this bloke a little further than normal - Only went and did a bloody pose sheet! He started off as a splurge trying to get used to the smudge tool, and although he's not very resolved I think enough if the impression is there.
Did I mention I have a Cintiq and a new PC? No? Well, I do, and it's flipping great!
Also, I've decided to leave a signature, because I've seen a few images floating around on the interwebs which look a bit ownerless.

Photobash No. 2
Obviously Darren Bartley AKA fightPUNCH is the king of this kind of stuff. but seeing as the mech came out quite nicely I thought I'd give a character a try.

Only Blog Forgives
Forgive me blog for I have sinned. It has been almost a month since my last post. What a shocker! Life has been pretty busy, but that's still no excuse. I've been sketching, but seem to be in a bit of a creative slump outside of work hours. That said, in work time everything is going mega, and I'm very excited about it all.
Anyway busy - I was lucky enough to get a trip to NCY at the beginning of the month to talk toys, and also just got back this week from an early Thanksgiving in St. Louis. And I shot some handguns! - Thanks Cathy and Mark (And Rick)!
When I'm fed up I tend to trawl the interweb for all the amazing artwork that other people produce. Sometimes it can be depressing rather than invigorating, because it reminds you how much you don't know! You don't often need to look at the same thing twice, but there are certain artists, like Alexander Callum Watt, whom I just keep going back to. The piece above comes from staring longingly at his comic book style work. I'm not overly chuffed with it, but needed to post and build some drawing momentum again.

Mech_Eng
Not posted for a bit, so here's a cyborg engineer sketch. I like the idea of him upgrading himself, and becoming lees and less human as he ages. Anyway, I've been settling in here at HIT, and it's going very well - super fun and varied work, especially with an opportunity to infulence the shows. I can feel myself starting a learning curve again.
