Overwatch Fan Art

The concept art (by Arnold Tsang) for Overwatch is brilliant.

Here's my comparatively overworked attempt at a character. It's a hammerhead shark with mechanical arms and legs and an MLRS for good measure.

  3. This is SUPER nice!!! :O Love this idea.

  4. Radical design! Overwatch should have more non-human characters. Like a synthetic T-Rex or a genetically engineered black pantheress who knows ninjutsu.

    1. It does in my head! Nothing on paper so far. I think it's a she! - A failed attempt to mechanically weaponize her and other sharks resulted in the death of her offspring. She is now on a revenge mission to end the military forces which deprived her of a natural life and finally find peace with herself and what she has become...

  8. This is one of the best overwatch new hero concept arts I've seen in a while! We don't have alot of animals in the game, and if this hero was in the game I'd be super hyped, excellent job on this! Really, it's fantastic.

    1. Thanks! I appreciate it! Yeah, totally agree about the lack of animals. Winston is great. I think having a female animal of some sort would help Blizzard build on their range of female body and character types too.

I did the drawing quite a while ago now (I don't think Overwatch was even out). I can see a lot of room for improvement!

    1. Ha! I would love a job at Blizzard. I don't think I'm quite up to their amazing standards just yet though. Maybe in the future.

  11. Def would want to know what abilities you'd imagined it (him? her?) as having. The missiles are for some kind of ult I'm guessing?

    1. Thanks! Actually, I drew the picture before the game was released because I liked the concept work so much! I didn't really know any of the game-play mechanics at all, so no idea what the moves are.

  15. I have a fun little backstory for this character.

Born in the west coast of the Jamaican Islands, Hammerhead was a mischievous and energetic hammerhead shark living with his family. However, she was shortly captured by corrupt fishermen working for "Marineworld", an american amusement park based off of aquatic wildlife. Marineworld was slowly losing it's popularity, as rapid technological advancements allowed for larger amusement parks to become more successful. The engineers working at Marineworld were able to capture Hammerhead and give her a cybernetic body, making her the world's first walking, dancing shark. The Hammerhead dancing shows were an instant hit, and people around the world wanted to visit Marineworld. Hammerhead instantly became the face of the park. However, the omnic crisis changed the shark's future. Hammerhead became controversial, as she was thought to be an omnic. Marineworld executives had to dump the shark back into the ocean, and the amusement park declared bankruptcy. Hammerhead wanted revenge, as the humans she once knew and loved threw her away in an instant. Hammerhead then went on a killing spree, killing multiple Marineworld executives and becoming a bounty hunter. Talon was able to recognize Hammerhead's skills, and the terrorist group brought her into their ranks. They upgraded her suit, giving her a Mili-Pod and state-of-the-art weaponry. Currently, Hammerhead is involved in many attacks and assassinations conducted by Talon. Don't call her an omnic. She'll get mad.

  17. i forgot to add that they took the money and left not joining talon. they are nuetral when it comes to talon vs overwatch however they protect the innocent and will steal to get food and drink for the poor because they were once in that situation. they are extremely anti mnic as they became orphans and homeless because of the omnic crisis.
