Blue Period

I've seen a lot of architectural drawings since being in Chicago, and they're really beautiful objects in their own right. So here's a doodle inspired by one. Still had to stick a vehicle in there, but they don't translate as well as buildings to zero perspective drawings.

I saw a Bertrand Goldberg exhibition about his life and design work with a large section on how the Marina Towers were designed. (See post from way back). Below is a detail sketch from the original design. The interior apartments are pie segments in plan view, and apparently a nightmare to find furniture for due to the lack of right-angles.
